I don't dispute  your results.  But perhaps running two programs on one machine
may not be a fair representation.  There may be an unfair allocation of machine
resources for one program vs. another.  For example, it is my understanding that
earlier versions of Chessmaster hogged far more machine resources than CM8K.  I
would suggest that for valid outcomes, running programs head-to-head should be
done on two IDENTICAL machines.
