Hi.
This shows us: the default settings are not good. Theys are terrible bad!
By the way: here are the settings, as of which cm 8000 plays exactly like the
experienced Chessmaster 6555. They are nearly the same as the CM 6555 settings.
As you can see, the settings for Attacker/Defender and M/P are changed:
Style:
A/D: -5
SoP: 100
Ran: 0
Max SD: 99
SS: 12
CfD: 0
Pos:
M/P: 5
CfC: 100
Mob: 103
K Saf: 170
PP: 100
PW: 125
Material:
Queens: 10
Rooks: 5.5
Bishops: 3.5
Knights: 3.3
Pawns: 1
Transposition Tables on fast hardware 128 MB, on slower 64 MB.
Perhaps this is not THE setting. But these settings are much stronger than the
default setting against up to date Programmes. Fritz also has no chance!
Also not Deep Fritz.
Here are two games against Fritz 6, played 10 sec./move on athlon 1.2 ghz

The CM 8000 with these settings plays 99.9 % exactly like CM 6000 with cm 6555
settings. I call it "CM 8555". CM 8555 finds some moves faster than CM 6555!
Also look on http://members.aon.at/wck/. There you will find tests of Gambit
Tiger 2 and Chess Tiger 14, also some games against CM 6555.
Also look the "Aufsess tournament".
I recommend everyone to try out these Settings.
Greetings
