Modern books should clearly explain how to program modern chess programs step by step from beginning to end. I believe it should be based on MFC, for it is chosen by most professional programmers. Older books may not apply to modern chess programming as well. I had a very hard time trying to find one good book myself on the Internet, but I got enough frustrated for they did not exist. Older books may explain poorly and we beginners got problems understanding them. I mean they do not explain very clearly step by step from beginning to end. That's why I suggest that any retired chess programmer write a good book about latest chess programming. Why not? Eran
