There are a few possibilities to find out what causes the problem on your system. First of all if available under Me let Dr Watson run (a part of the Windows Info system utility) Also let windows generate a faultlog.txt log file, to see if and how programs terminate irregularly. At http://www.dependencywalker.com/ you can download Dependency Walker and check in detail what happens when you start a program. A small tip: also use -if you didn't already- a registry checker. Or rebuild your registry. The most freaky things can happen when your registry has a wrong entry. Good luck. J.
