I also found such a mate in 7, but not with a regular search, let's say in
special mode:

e8=Q+ Bf7 Qxg2 Bd2+ Qxd2 Rxf4 Qxf7+ Nxf7 Bg6+ Qxg6 Qxg6+ Kh4 Ng2#

but since I really still do have a bug somewhere, I didn't dare posting it!
Oh well ... now I've done it ... shoot Heiner :)
