1) From an ideal point of view avery tourn in every competence is less than
perfect.
2) Please name just one human chess tourn between human that has not produced
controversy because this or that: Kasparov was not there or Fisher was not there
or Ivanov was not there or Fide is a corrupt corp or some flys were spying for
the KGB.... Same with chess computer competences.
3) Practicalities of every sort hinders perfection: Every time some performers
are out of the competence. Trying to get all the candidates to glory is equal to
do nothing.
4) In the Millenimum tourn mabye some programs will be absent and MAYBE they
deserve to be, but no present program does not deserve to be there, for sure.
5) We are going to get a great fun of the tourn as it is: a great program
against a great GM. It is not enough?
6) There will be in the future other tourns with other programs and GM's to
satisfy all hands.
7) Everybody know what to think of the result, wichever could be. If schreder
competes and wins, then Schredder competed and won. That's all.
8) It is a luck that tourns does not depend of a site like this or we would not
have non.
9) Humans are a weird, suicidal class of animals: they do the most they can to
kill endeavours tried by other people.
10) This is not the most important thing that will happens in the world in the
year of the Lord, 2001, so hold your horses and keep your mouths inside the
limits of elegance, decency and commons sense.
