Out of no where a GM on ICC asked me to play a guest who supposedly was his friend. I played that guest and immediately recognized the guy who often comes to ICC as a guest claiming to be a super GM. I have seen this guest on ICC for a couple of years. He plays moves like f3, Kf2, Ke3 etc. I am 100% sure that this guy is a computer whose program deliberately makes stupid moves to fool people in believing that he is not a comp. Today while playing the guest, I mentioned in a kib that the guest is a comp. Immediately after the game, two GMs and one IM sent me tells claiming that the guest was Robert J. Fischer (apparently, the guest has been telling these GMs this). For two hours I tried explaining, why this guest is a comp. Vars command showed that the guest was not using blitzin, he had incredible fast reflexes in a 1 0 game, just like a comp but too fast for a human, he has been seen on ICC for years, his opening book deliberately is setup to play stupid moves, etc. etc. But after hours of explanation, these gullible GMs were still convinced that the guest was Robert Fischer. One GM even claimed that Leko told him personally that this guest who comes to ICC often is Fischer. But since I have seen this guest for years, and since his reflexes are too fast for a human, I am 100% sure that the guest is a comp. Has anyone here seen this guest on ICC, or better yet, know who he is? One GM keep repeating that comps don't play like that. I tried to explain that a clever programmer can program a comp to play stupid moves occasionally and give it a stupid opening book (that will play stupid moved like f3, kf2, ke3 etc.). Does anyone want to help me in showing this GM that a comp can play like that? i.e. occasionally making stupid moves with idiotic opening like f2, kf2, ke3, but still strong enough to beat any GM in 1 0. If anyone here wants to help, please let me know. Adnan (note that my CCC e-mail account is no longer valid .. the current valid email is karpov@softhome.net )
