Players can register to the ICCF open tournaqment
The tournament begins in 1.9.2001
every player is going to play 10 games in the first stage and similiar number of
games in the next games.

see http://www.iccf.com

The time control is 60 days for 10 moves.
I am interested to know if there are volunteers who want to use chess programs
for this tournament.

I am interested to know what is the result that a team of volunteers can achieve
by letting their top programs to calculate for a long time.

If there are enough volunteers then we can get 144 hours of Deep Fritz or tiger
or another chess program against every opponent when the hardware is at least
pIII800.

It may be even more than 144 hours because programs can ponder when the opponent
is calculating and if they predict the right move they can get more time.

It also may be possible to get more than one program to search for 144 hours and
to use shredder5's multiple brain to decide about the right program based on the
anallysis.

I think that stefan needs to modify the multiple brain in order to do it and he
needs to generate text.

If I cannot find volunteers to do it is still good if I find volunteers to give
their programs to search 24 hours per week on good hardware or more time on
slower hardware(it is usually more time than the time that the opponents can let
themselves to search).
