i cannot answer your questions uri. but i do know this. i had a 550 mhz pentium 111 and a 1 gig pentium 111. the commom equation .9 x mhz = kns with a single processor worked with both of these processors. the 550 would always get about 500 kns with the fritzmark test. the 1000 mhz would always get about 900 kns. ok. now with my amd processors. i have a 1 gig slot a amd oc to 1050. the .9 x mhz = kns works with this processor also. .9 x 1050 = about 940 kns. my new 1460 mhz amd is the same. it gets about 1300 kns. some of the game sites i go to, the guys with the new pentium 4s the 1.3, 1.4, and the 1.5, they are not getting these numbers. the .9 does not apply to the pentium4. from what these pentium4 guys are saying .8 seems to apply to the pentium4. for example: 1500 mhz amd .9 x 1500 = about 1350 kns 1500 mhz pentium4 .8 x 1500 = about 1200 kns 1000 mhz amd .9 x 1000 = about 900 kns 1000 mhz pentium 111 .9 x 1000 = about 900 kns i think most here would say the pentium4s are still very fast for programs. xracer
