Sorry, it's not. The title was printed on the invitations according to SMK. There haven't been any official press releases AFAIK, so the lack of reading material is understandable. >That's again all speculation. We can't expect to be told every aspect and >every conversation the man had. There isn't a single speculation involved. Bertil wrote his exact deliberations here, from start to finish. Nothing has been published in public and only four persons have received invitations. >LOL eight duals, where did these come from. Can I take it you agree running >your above proposal on a single dual machine is not viable?. Yes, that is a certainty. But why do you talk about a single dual machine? If they were serious about the arrangement it wouldn't be a problem finding eight IMO. They could involve universities or even the ICC in the qualification. If Paderborn can offer significant hardware to participants then it isn't impossible. Except if you only have a hotel room or a basement :-). Don't tell me you've lost your imagination :-). >24 days? thats with 8 dual machines? Yep, but I doubt that it's much longer than the current arrangement. Of course I have no idea if the qualification will last a month, a week or a weekend. > So what single dual 1/2 yr :-) giggle. Probably, I haven't calculated LOL. I wonder if it's possible to run two dual-dual matches on an eight cpu machine. In that case we only need two of those :-)). Mogens.
