Even though the event is obviously intended to give the impression that the
programs chosen are the best ones available, the press release itself doesn't
specifically say that the purpose of the event is to find the strongest program.
But the best of the ones invited. Semantics, I know, because everyone knows what
impression BGN wishes to sell to sponsers and the seriousness of the selection
process involved (non existant).

If they wanted to sell this as an attempt to find the strongest program, they
should have announced that authors with a SMP program could apply. Just adding
Tiger, Rebel or both wouldn't have been enough. As long as they cut out the
strongest claim from press releases, they can invite anyone they please IMO.
It's discriminatory and unfair, but it's their right.
