DB doesn't exist anymore. The difference between the world championship and the rating list is present in many areas of sport: 1) There are computerized tennis rankings, but the spectators still come out to see the major tournaments. 2) Major league baseball plays a 162-game season, which seems like it should be enough to determine which is the best team, yet we still have the World Series. 3) Etc. Humans don't want a champion chosen by statistical methods. They want a tournament or a match or a game, with the title on the line. bruce
