Correct.

Either it is a fit-up, as at present.

Or the thing is thrown open to everybody.

Selectively allowing in participants based on the amount of noise they can make
or their alleged popularity is the height of hypocrisy.

The Rebel/Tiger campaign has just been selfish shit.

Not, of course, that any of the others come out of this well.

Computer Chess just ends up looking bad - which is a fair result in my view,
because it is. Personally speaking, the best result would be for the entire
event to fall apart, and all the squealing little piggies with their snouts in
the trough to go hungry. Who cares about a silly match with Kramnik anyway? I
mean, what is the big deal? We know the result beforehand anyway; if its a slow
time control, Kramnik will win, but maybe he'll make a mistake or two and some
games might get difficult. So what and big deal. Go watch a GM play on ICC if
it's so interesting. Why support a commercial bean-fest and extravaganza
designed to make some money by generally misleading everybody? Hey, come on, why
not boycott the nonsense?
