Hi all, two more results from my current 500-game eng-eng playoff on one machine (PIII-550): Hiarcs 7.32 - Fritz 6.0b 251:189 (+207 = 88 -145) Impressive since F6b used to win almost every blitz auto round-robin I played last year. But Hiarcs found its master very quickly: Gambit Tiger 2.0 - Hiarcs 7.32 256:200 (+179 =154 -123) Tonight's matchup is Chess Tiger 14 vs. Deep Fritz, the winner meets Gambit in the finals Monday. 2/game will follow next. For completeness, here are the intermediate standings from my current 40/40 tournament, the Masters 2001 (manual play on two PIII-550s, 256 MB): Gambit Tiger 2.0 - Rebel Century 3.0 2.0:1.0 (+1 =2 -0) Chess Tiger 14.0 - Deep Shredder 5.0 2.0:0.0 Junior 6.0a - Gandalf 4.32h 2.0:0.0 Deep Fritz - Nimzo 8.0 2.0:0.0 It seems the current rankings are fairly consistent; in the previous round, the lower seeds scored only two wins in >30 games, in this round we have +7 =2 -0 in favour of the higher seeds. --- Shep
