I realize the first game of Fritz5-CM5500 has been restarted but I still wanted a record of the first game. Can someone post the pgn of this game. I wanted to examine more closely the offering up of the g-pawn (seemed unnecessary). The loss of the h-pawn seemed OK. Two of the games really demonstate positions where computers excel. They are the Fritz-Hiarcs endgame and the CM5500-Crafty game. They are open positions involving intricate Knight moves. I've also played over many GM games that are similar to these positions where the computer many times finds a better move than in the actual game. The the famous draw of Deeper Blue vs. Kasparov (game 5 I think) also comes to mind. One last comment is from the Crafty - Fritz5 game. I think it was a wise choice for Fritz to force the draw (at least in my estimation of the game) as Crafty now had a threatening position with that advanced d-pawn.
