ChessMaster 8000 includes the engine named "The King" written by Johan De
Koning.

It is one of the strongest engines in the world, at least the previous versions
were.

I do not see any reason why Johan would have produced a weaker engine, and this
is the reason why I believe something went wrong SOMEWHERE ELSE. I guess that
CM8000 is going to be rated under CM6000, or at least close to CM6000, and this
cannot be real (CM6000 was tested on PPro200, CM8000 is being tested on K6-2
450).

I wish the producers of CM8000 and Johan will find out what went wrong. You
could think I would enjoy watching a competitor in such a bad position, but I
don't.

I respect Johan for the great job he has done so far, and for me it's clear that
he is still one of the best in his field.

I have no doubt that the SSDF's tests are fair, I just believe that there must
be a bug in CM8000 (probably in the GUI). Just a guess of course.
