that was true for chessmaster6000.

7000 and 8000 seem, for whatever reason, a backstep.

i do not believe something went wrong somewhere else. IMO the engine is weaker.
if this is due to a design bug in the UI, they should be able to find out.

I know from experience that NOT all the king engines were STRONGER than the
versions before.
IMO johan needs a better team.
i would suggest cock de gorter.
and a few others.
it takes time to find out about an engine.

right. but something went wrong. you say: UI, i say: johan has not seen that
THIS engine is weaker.

maybe he was too shallow in testing.

as long as johan is not telling us, we can only guess.
IMO cm6 is stronger cm8.
