This prevents anyone from embedding images as well as other even more disruptive HTML tags. Eventually, I will have the system scan for potential links and add the appropriate HTML code. I am looking into various ways of doing this. One thing the old Netscape 1.x newsreader used to do is just link any text which began with "http:", "ftp:", "news:", "mailto:", "gopher:", "telnet:", and maybe some others (?). This is probably the best way.
