Go up one level in this thread

Fernando,

A suggestion.

It would perhaps make sense to cease making mention of Chess System Tal here.

Chris sold the Oxford Softworks business almost a year ago and has moved on from
computer chess. References to CSTAL or to Chris himself might have the effect of
dragging him back to a place he doesn't want to be.

Plus, as you can tell from Christophe's comment, the programmers here really
don't like the idea that Chris may have been first with the idea, they seem to
feel that this would take away from their own achievements, which of course it
doesn't, they achieve what they achieve with their own hard work.

References also may just increase the hate level which can't be healthy for
those afflicted.

So from both sides, it probably is best to just not mention CSTAL or Chris's
name. It just creates 'trouble'. And 'trouble' is not wanted here.

Let's just add "Chris" and "CSTAL" to the list of banned words. Easier all
round.
