Mike's Chess Computer Oldies II: My 2nd oldies tournament has been finished. Among the 12 participants were Mephisto and CXG chess computers and software oldies like Sargon V. The complete tournament report is now online at http://meineseite.i-one.at/PermanentBrain/oldies2/oldies2a.htm , inlcuding the games for download (PGN/CBV); or replay them in your browser with a java applet. The report itself is in german language though. The most important details: - shuffle chess starting positions were used - chess computers were set at tournament time 40/2h - the software ran on a PII/333 MHz with 60/20:00 or 20 sec./move without pondering (except Socrates), which results *approximately* in an 486 tournament time performance - tournament mode was Scheveningen (boards vs. software) (My Super Constellation was not included, sorry... maybe next time :o) Regards, M.Scheidl Permanent Brain: http://meineseite.i-one.at/PermanentBrain/
