Mr. Galati,
I have been using UPS units since 1990. Right now I have a six outlet Deltec
rated at 1500 VA. It weighs fifty pounds and I run two 21 inch monitors and two
computers off of it. I recommend that any person that has computers use UPS
devices even though the bigger units run $300.00 or more.
I once had a lightning electromagnetic pulse hit me {ouch!!} and my house
wiring. It blew my home security system and my microwave oven and fritzed my
television set. No effect on the computers however. The bigger UPS systems can
also be used as a backup for your televisions and radio just in case the power
goes out.
It is wise to protect our babies from power surges.
