I was told the same thing on ICC and really see no reason to doubt it. He is a
specialist in playing against computers, in particular Crafty (though I mostly
saw it at his site Chess.Net). Having generously contributed a lot of advice
towards Crafty's education, this is hardly surprising. As to having an alternate
account, this is quite common for GMs, and some such as Shirov have at least 4
or 5 accounts there for example.
