  I used Windows 2000 at work and loved it. DOS chess programs have lot of
problems though. Hiarcs 6 runs without a problem under NT 4, but I have not seen
any other DOS chess program succeed in doing that.

  If you value DOS programs, then make two partitions in your hard-drive. Make
one a pure DOS, or any Windows version that runs DOS such as 3.1, 95 or 98 and
the other partition NT.
