I really doubt Karov would have had a chance, my opinion of course:) However, I do agree Fischer couldn't beat Kramnik today, or Karpov for that matter, he's been away too long and age is catching up. Still, in 1972 I truly believe Fischer was the best player bar none and would have crushed Karpov back then, 1972-1975. Fisher like Morphy was a _true_ chess genius!
