Chessmaster in my opinion is one of the strongest engines without: Big book,
book learning, engame tables and other minor twists.
It also benefits greatly from faster processor speed.
I have played ten games manually 40/120 with 5500 against Fritz 6, Junior 6 and
Deep Fritz (10 games each) because i was under the impression that it might be
stronger, but even with the advantage of the faster cpu, at that time T-bird
1.2ghz and chessbase family on T-bird 900mhz, chessmaster lost all the matches
allthough narrowly, it is some time ago and i nolonger have the games, but i do
recall the scores to be something like 6.5-3.5 and 7.5-2.5 and i don't remember
the last score, but it lost that too.

Regards
Jonas
