Helo Alvaro,

Top programs are at GM strength running on 500MHZ+ machines. They have
had TPR's consistently above 2600 on 1GHZ and above. The highest is 2702
for a SMP setup.

See: http://home.interact.se/~w100107/rpthtm.htm

The real questions is: When will the programs win more than loose in
a long match (already 50% in strong tournament) against the top 5 GM's?

I think that in match (not tournament) play, the programs/hw still need
a couple of years, but are getting closer (changing style on their own
and improved anti-computer detection will enhance performance, speed,
knowledge, and leanrning will continue to improve and benefit the
digital GM's).

Just my 2 cents, won't get you much at the coffee shop. ;)

Best Regards,
Chris Carson
