I've always been a Fischer fan myself.  But the "he is dead" was an obvious
metaphor about not playing chess any more.  And if someone is dead, then they
_definitely_ "stink" if you think about it a second.  :)

I doubt Fischer could do today what he did 30 years ago... time takes its toll
on all of us.  But the fischer of 1972 could probably beat anyone, of any time
period, in a match.
