The 'production' program does not have to play games before the match because the 'production' kramnik also did not play games before the match but only an old kramnik who knew less. The commercial program played a lot of games before the match and it should be enough for kramnik. If *any*, how >many will have been published? Kramnik can also get games of old Fritz's and many ssdf games of Deep Fritz. I suspect that if the conditions are that the player can get the program 3 monthes before the match every GM can beat the program. All you have to do is to plan 1 game per day against the program and learn the games in order to play similiar games. parallel programs are not deterministic and the new version in october is going to be slightly different than the version that beated Junior but still you can get similiar games to the games that you plan and it is a big advantage.
