But you could put it in a steel box, with a power supply that takes the 60 cycle (or 50 in Europe) line voltage and turns it into a DC current to charge batteries, then takes the battery voltage and runs it thru an inverter to get it back to AC. This would filter out _all_ external signals piggybacked onto the building power lines. The steel box would block RF signals and IR signals.
