I feel Kramnik would win regardless of whether he has the product or not. However, since he will have the programm and earlier versions of Fritz most likely anyways, I see this as a lop-sided contest in favour of Kramnik. I'm not complaining though as this might be the impetus that triggers a match with another "Supercomputer" whether IBM picks up the "Gauntlet." or some other company. Intel perhaps? At least I see this as a possibility, and it would be good for chess, chess progammers, chess computers, chessplayers and the chess community.(IMO) Also, such a contest in the future may help in furthering AI which at present really doesn't exist. I guess it's how you define AI, but in the strict sense it doesn't exist. At least not yet. Terry McCracken
