The reality of this little CCC experiment is to get a sense of what the majority is thinking. Perhaps 1 out of 20 people who attends a newsgroup actually post something, and perhaps 1 out of 200 actually posts the greatest percentage of posts. The effect of this is that a minority view is sometimes seen as a majority view. I just read a newbie post today in rgcc by someone who was asking who Bob Hyatt is and why is he so bad. It is safe to say that a pole of rgcc readers would show to the chess community at large that Bob is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people to ever grace the rgcc. -Steve
