Subject: Deep Frtiz's weakness

Author: Uri Blass

Date: 12:37:17 05/03/01

The following position is from the game Kasparov-deeper blue.

After 1.Nf3 d5 2.g3 Bg4 3.b3 the move 3...Bxf3 is considered to be a positional
mistake.

Deeper blue did not consider it for a second when Deep Fritz considers it as
best at depthes 9-18.

Other programs like Crafty or gandalf have no problem to avoid 3...Bxf3

Deep Fritz can avoid Bxf3 thanks to the opening book but I suspect that in
similiar positions it may play Bxf3
