Hi all concerned with this issue: Respect to the incapacity of some people to reproduce the games that are used as proof of something, I wonder if this can be explained by the fact that, being Fritz so fast and grounded in speed, differences in procesor, hash and the rest make great difference EVEN taking into account an effort to equate things with mnore or less processing time. Do you remember the old discussion about that moves by Deep Blue that nobody was capable to explain? Computer has became so complicated that nobody knows for certain in which conditions thos or that solution is reached. I am not a hack, but beyond certain point of complexity a combination of hardware and software can result in unexpected and unexplained behaviour. Mats, is your processor an Intel unit? Respect with the issue of style I agree fully and that' s the reason I have became an apostle of CSTAL. Not only is strong but his gives a kind of game that at the end gives you some wilds desires to smash it with a hammer. I have been a pawn up and with better position and the bloody guy found a way to hold the game and lastly win it, to my stupefactio and rage. If I Had had a pistol at hand -I have not- I would shoot over the screen. Fernando
