My position was clear from the beginning: I thought that the ICCA title of WCCC and WMCCC should be respected and that Shredder should have been chosen to play in the match. I also clearly said that I would not have taken part in the qualifier had I been asked. I wasn't asked, so that seems moot although I wanted it clearly on the record that I would not be involved period, whether invited or not (obviously). If there was to be an "open" qualifier and _everybody_ was going to play, ie perhaps using a WCCC or WMCCC tournament this year as the "qualifier" then I might well have chosen to compete. But that wasn't an option, and the discussion contains way too many "but if" qualifiers for me to answer. I clearly did _not_ refuse to play. Because I wasn't asked. I never intended to have my opinion used on either side of the argument in a "spin" sort of conclusion. I have been the overall World Champion twice. I know how hard it is to do that once, much less twice. I think winning it once is enough to earn everyone's respect. Shredder did that...
