There is method to edit pgn files so that the analysis variation becomes the
mainline:
[Event "?"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "????.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "?"]
[Black "?"]
[Result "*"]
[PlyCount "3"]
[EventDate "2001.04.06"]
1. e4 c6 {last book move} 2. d3 ({Hiarcs 7.32:} 2. d4 e6 3. Nc3 d5 4. Nf3
Nf6 5. e5 Ne4 {-0.05/9}) *
In this example 2. d3 is the mainline and 2. d4 is the analysis variation.
If you delete everything between (incl. brackets):
{last book ... 7.32:}
then the variation becomes the mainline and can be analyzed again by another
engine. Thus you can analyze another engine's analysis. (=Meta Analysis)
I believe there are power texteditors that can be configured to strip the
last-bookmove stamp, the mainline and engine stamp from each game automatically
what's more efficient than editing an astronomical number of games by hand.
Does anybody know where to find such a power text editor ?
