As half of the participants is living CET perhaps cool idea to quote that too. For new participants it might be smart to temporarily scale them in at ahigh rating instead of 1200 level, otherwise we won't get any spectators other as CCC freaks. >The time controls will be 45, 10. Very quick level. Why not call this a rapid chess internet championship and also make a slow level championship 40 in 2 level over the internet with a huge load of participants who play each other according to a match principle. So 2 games against each other at a server of choice of both participants. Of course not a knockout principle as that removes the fun for those who fall out. These kind of matches at such a slow level are also interesting for those who need to operate by hand and for those who have always big problems to play in the weekend as you can then appoint to play during the week! >There are a couple of pressing issues to be worked out still, but I'm >confident they will be resolved in time for the tournament to start. >The first is to recruit a TD.
