Just to clear up a little confusion that you may be having about the above sentences.... He's talking about the "Use Chessmaster Opening Book" checkbox. If you check this, then you can must select any of the Chessmaster opening books for your new XBoard personality to use. However, when the Chessmaster book "runs out", it is STILL possible for the default book of the XBoard engine to take over from there. This depends on the settings that you have chosen for the XBoard engine. jm
