Laurence I know that a single 1 GHz Proccesor doesn't produce a higher NPS than a Dual 1 GHz motherboad, but NPS is not everything, plus also I was not comparing the same Processor Intel vs Intel nor was I comparing the same speed. Even if the Dual 750 MHz is slightly faster than an AMD 1.3 GHz for chess purpose, that small advantage of NPS would not make such a big difference at all, specially using the same program Deep Fritz. Plus you have to realize that you simply don't multiply 750 MHz X 2 = 1500 MHz it is more likely a factor of 1.7. Pichard.
