Hello Uri,

First I had a good laugh about your proposal, but when I started to really
think about it... it is not a bad idea!

The "random" could be replaced by something not completely random, but say
a simple 2-ply search etc. Just to avoid absolutely nonsense positions.

We also will need either a hard time limit, or negative points for the
time used or some such.

What I still miss in your proposal, is the kind of problems constructed
by human problem composers. They tend to contain certain subtleties,
which would not occur with random generation.

Yet I like your proposal! :-)
Really.

May be sometime Paul or Leonid (or me? shudder) tries to perform such
a tournament/championship, just for the fun. But I do not expect the
ICCA or whomever to sanction or sponsor it. But then, it may turn out
to be a pilot tournament for something more official...
Now I'm sure I'm dreaming :-))

Summary: Yes, it is quite easily doable. Thanks!

Best regards,
Heiner
