John, You will never grow tired of Rebel Century 3.0, Gambit Tiger 2.0 and Chess Tiger 14 on the Rebel 11 CD. There is not much glitz but everything that you need is there. You will lose repeatedly but then I doubt that would bore you. Get a nice big hard drive for end game tablebases so that you will not have to wait too long for the computer to make a move. Thirty to sixty gigabytes is enough to start. By the time you are done with your initial thrill with computer chess you will probably have over five to ten different chess programs. Start with one of the best and then add to your collection. The Rebel 11 CD gives you a free database of over 800,000 games to review and replay.
