Meanwhile I managed to have Extract clean mygames.pgn, but Sankit still won't
create mygames.epd.
What did you mean by CDB ? Is it one of Rob Weir's ChessBase power tools ?
(So far I didn't have the opportunity to study the power tools)

How can a power texteditor like Ultraedit or Zeus be configured to delete
automatically in every game of a pgn file the following 2 sequences ?

Example game:
1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Nf3 e6 (last book move) 4. Nf3 {Deep Fritz:} 4. d4 d6 5.
Nf3 Nxe4 6. Be3 d5 {0.44/7}) *

Sequence 1: (last book move) 4. Nf3 {Deep Fritz:}
Variable: last actual move of every game: e.g. 4Nf3
Sequence 2: d5
Variable: last move of every analysis: e.g. Od5
