Go up one level in this thread
I solid suggestion IMO. The only suggestion I would like to make is that each program be allowed to use it's optimum RAM, not be limited to X. Some programs are written to require more RAM due to their dependence upon hash tables (ie Fritz) as oppossed to knowledge ( ie HIARCS), and so they should be provided with this as to maintain a level playing field. Perhaps all programs should included a function that automatically tunes the engine to the amount of RAM available ?
