"Brain Games plc announced the signing of a million dollar contract on Tuesday 1
May 2001. The contract is with the state of Bahrain for a million dollar prize
fund plus a further million dollars in back-up for the Man v Machine Challenge
to be held in October. The main Bahrain figure involved is His Excellency Yousuf
Shirawi, former Bahrain chess champion and member of the Bahrain government. The
contract was signed for Brain Games Network by CEO David Massey. Grandmaster Ray
Keene will be appointed Match Director while Enrique Irazoqui and Eric Schiller
be the arbiters."

And where is Bertil and the SSDF?

1. Any post linking Bertil's involvement as "independant expert" with the SSDF
drew a posts from other SSDF members denying SSDF involvement.

2. When Enrique tried to draw the SSDF back involved with his gratuitous
publication of the CC-list of his email 'discussions' with Ed (ie. not only
Bertil but Thoralf as well); this resulted in a rapid statement that Thoralf
(President of SSDF) was only in 'at the last minute' ... 'as an observer' ...
'and said nothing'.

3. Ed denied this, and said Thoralf was in from the start.

4. Bertil then broke ranks with Enrique and stated that his advice was 'Junior,
Fritz, Shredder *and* Tiger'

5. Bertil distanced himself further when replying to a post which contained the
expression "impartial experts". Bertil added a prefix, so the phrase became "so
called impartial experts".

6. When a post was made pointing out to Bertil that "so called" negated the
sense of "impartial" and could therefore be assumed to mean "non-impartial",
that "he could hardly be referring to himself", and therefore implied that
"Enrique was a non impartial expert" - Bertil said nothing, and just let the
posts stand.

7. Bertil was in on the thing from the start, presumably knows plenty, would
have been expected to go to Bahrain.

8. Now, as far as can be read into the press statement above, Bertil is not
going to Bahrain and has publicly stated, in a roundabout way, why.

Can Bertil tell us why he does not appear to be going to Bahrain, what he knows,
and what does the "so called impartial expert" comment actually mean? If
not-impartial, who or what is he suggesting Enrique is "partial" towards?

Does he consider Enrique will be "an impartial arbiter", or "a so called
impartial arbiter" at the actual event?
