I am trying to profile my program under Redhat 7.0. I compile the sources with "-ggdb -pg", store them in an archive with "ar r". The main program is compiled with "-ggdb -pg" and linked to the archive. Now if I run it, the profiler fails to record time spent in the library routines. It still gives me the call graph/ counts. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? any help appreciated. Thanks, Sven.
