I'm confused when you say "when I try to do THIS". Does "this" mean:

1) Using the [debug] setting in the CM.INI file, or
2) Trying to play MP3s WITH the [debug] setting, or
3) Trying to play MP3s WITHOUT the [debug] setting.

The only one that should cause problems is #3. Attempting either of the other
two should work fine (assuming you are not running Windows 2000/NT).
