Dear John, Don't waste your money on a portable system. We have all been there and done that and while it was nice, we only did it because there were no PCs worth a damn in the 70s and the 80s. In the early 1990s we all switched to PCs or Apples and are glad we did. Get a computer with lots of memory and a big disk and you will have years of enjoyment.
