No way. If Fritz needs more RAM, that is a design decision made by the Fritz team, and they need to be able to live with the consequences of this design decision -- they might not get the RAM. But the SSDF should use decent machines, hopefully nearly the same in each case, or if they are all different, then at least scatter the games out rather than letting program X play all of its games on the best machine. I use endgame databases, and I access them at the tips. This beats the heck of of my hard disk. Should I be able to mandate a fast SCSI drive? No way. bruce
