I may have my terms mixed up, but what I specifically mean is combining
different sequences of moves to hopefully find better ones. Ie, white
may have identified e4-Nf3-Bc4 as a possibility as well as d4-c4-Nc3. A
possible "child" sequence might be e4-Nf3-c4-Nc3, which is then tested
against the current population of black move sequences.

This algorithm does not theoretically garuntee you'll find the global
optimum, and I've encountered some practical problems as well, but as I
said in my first post, it <may> allow deeper searches.
