What command should be given in Extract or which ChessBase power tool can be used to delete the last move of each sequence (complete / incomplete game) of moves ? e.g. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bb5 Bc5 * The above example should become : 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bb5 * Why is this good for, you may ask. Well suppose you have a pgn file with a number of interesting opening lines and you wish to deepen these lines. You will need to copy the pgn file and delete the last ply of each sequence of moves. Create a new book and import the truncated lines. Now Fritz can analyze just the last move of each opening line of the copy of the pgn file and not spend time on the analysis of earlier moves. Pete
