Junior6a: Positional = 215 points and 6 positions not solved Tactics = 280 points and 2 positions not solved Endgame = 200 points and 2 positions not solved Total: 695 points and 10 positions not solved Comment: Gambit Tiger 2.0 gives the highest Elo rating. The chart above is based on LCT2 testset and comparing is interesting. Since Gambit Tiger and Shredder are both knowledge-based programs, both of their bars above appear to be similar. Whereas Fritz6a and Junior6a are tactic-oriented programs and they are similar. Gambit Tiger gives the highest score in positional play and Fritz6a gives the highest score both in tactics and endgame. On the other hand, Gambit Tiger seems not doing well in endgame. Junior6a seems doing a bit less well both in tactics and positional than any other programs above. Interestingly, the bars of Shredder 5 appear to be fairly balanced in overall play. Notice: The results above are solely based on LCT2 testset; they are facts. That does not mean the results are absolute. To see better overall results, thousands of tests need to be done. Eran
